February 14, 2018 – BELOIT, Wis. –PlayMonster, LLC continues to broaden its portfolio of toys that provide great play for all ages, with the acquisition of the multi-brand, developmental and educational toddler and preschool lines fromKid O Toys.

Featuring a distinct modern look with classic play patterns, Kid O’s deep product assortment  promotes creativity, encourages discovery, and includes a diverse array of products that span preschool, educational, music, vehicles, travel, water and building. Founded in 2004, Kid O toys has grown from a small retail shop in New York City to an international toy manufacturer with distributors in over 35 countries.

From baby toys that encourage exploration and development of gross motor skills, to items that improve toddler’s hand-eye coordination, to products that provide a sensory-driven reinforcement for learning the ABCs, each product is thoughtfully designed with lots of opportunities to explore built right in. PLAYMONSTER GEARS UP FOR BIG FUN AT ANNUAL CHICAGO TOY & GAME FAIR

 

Event Sponsorship, Inventor Interaction and Exciting Play Experiences Tops PlayMonster’s List of Activities at 2017 Chicago Toy & Game (ChiTAG) Fair!

 

BELOIT, Wis. (November 7, 2017) – PlayMonster is excited to once again participate in the fun and festive ChiTAG Fair at Navy Pier on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 – 19, 2017! The weekend’s activities include the Young Inventor Challenge and the PlayMonster’s booth featuring four inventors of PlayMonster games and toys for public “meet-and-greets” as well as multiple exciting play experiences for kids and families.

The Young Inventor Challenge takes place on Saturday (November 18) at Navy Pier in Chicago, where kids ages 6 – 18 will set up and display their previously-submitted toy and game inventions and ideas to the general public, media and industry professionals, hoping to win prizes in categories such as Most Marketable Concept, Most Creative Concept and Best Pitch Video or Commercial. PlayMonster is a sponsor of this event because it fosters imagination and innovation, inspiring children to explore and follow through on their ideas. Children also receive feedback from industry professionals, helping them to become better inventors and gearing them toward success!

All weekend long, PlayMonster’s fair booth will feature tons of fun for families! Kids can stop by to try out the new Super Spinner disc swing that will be set up and ready for play! In another area of the booth, numerous Automoblox wood cars will be available for kids to mix and match to create custom vehicles, and then race them down the giant wood ramp. Also set up will be an awesome Ultra Dash game obstacle race course! Kids can run and play, and try to beat their best time at hitting the targets, or race friends and siblings! PlayMonster will also have several of their products for sale at a special show discount price for anyone looking to shop.

When kids aren’t playing at PlayMonster’s booth, they can meet and talk with actual game and toy inventors. A schedule will be posted at the booth letting consumers know when they can stop by to see Marbleocity inventor Adam Hocherman, Super Spinner inventor Greg Cordray, Dictitious inventors Johanna Sherman and Lori Christopher, and Ultra Dash inventor Dan Klitsner.

EARNING SIX TOY OF THE YEAR 2018 FINALIST HONORS

TOTY 2018 Tops Off an Award-Winning Year,
as Wisconsin Toy Company Garners Dozens of Accolades

  

BELOIT, Wis. (November 6, 2017) – For the first time in company history, PlayMonster has been named a finalist for six Toy of The Year (TOTY) 2018 Awards, the industry’s highest achievement and one of its most revered accolades. The company garnered nominations across six different categories: Playset of the Year for My Fairy Garden Magical Cottage, Game of the Year for Ultra Dash, Doll of the Year for Wonder Crew, Specialty Toy of the Year for Mirari Juballees, Infant/Toddler Toy of the Year for Mirari Shellby, and Vehicle of the Year for Automoblox SC1 Chaos and HR5 Scorch 2-Pack.

The six finalist nominations follow last year’s first-ever win for PlayMonster’s Yeti in My Spaghetti® for Game of the Year. In previous years, the company has earned at least one TOTY finalist distinction per year, so this year’s six is causing big excitement. PlayMonster was founded as Patch Products in 1985, and changed its name in 2016 to reflect the company’s continued commitment to provide play for all ages.

The TOTY Awards are often referred to as the “Oscars” of the toy industry, and finalists were announced last week from a field of more than 600 nominations. Finalists were determined by elite members of the toy industry, including retail buyers, inventors/designers, academics, journalists, trade media spokespeople and bloggers. “It is an exciting accomplishment and great honor to be a TOTY finalist in six different categories. In late October, the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio honored PlayMonster’s Mirari Shellby, Automoblox and Ultra Dash with Platinum Awards, for the most outstanding and innovative products of the year. Industry powerhouse The Toy Insider featured Ultra Dash, Automoblox, Wonder Crew, Marbleocity and Mirari Juballees on their annual lists.

The company has also received multiple awards from prestigious and recognized parenting organizations, including The National Parenting Product Award, Parent’s Choice Award and The National Parenting Center.

The winners of the TOTY 2018 Awards will be announced on Friday, February 16, 2018, at the TOTY Awards Ceremony in New York City. The ceremony is considered to be the official kick off of the North American International Toy Fair, which takes place at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Saturday, February 17 through Tuesday, February 20, 2018.

Like the original Stinky Pig® game, Belching Mikey plays in fun, fast hot potato fashion, with a slightly different kind of gas!

Accentuate is the hilarious guess-the-accent game! One player reads a movie quote, and then rereads it in a randomly chosen accent while their team tries to guess which accent they’re trying to speak! It’s often hilarious because not everyone is good at every accent. New Plant, Grow, Play Set Featuring Magical Message Beans Amazes Children!

August 17, 2017 – BELOIT, Wis. – PlayMonster LLC plants a new seed in its popular My Fairy Garden® line, as an all-new theme and plant life take root and bring smiles to fairy garden fans! 

My Fairy Garden is the first of its kind: a toy that’s also a real, live garden! Children love kits that allow them to grow plants at home; it gives them a connection to nature and a sense of satisfaction at having nurtured a living thing. My Fairy Garden takes it to a new, exciting level by allowing children to interact with it as part of an enchanting play set!

The new addition to the line, Bean Blossom, is a brightly-colored watering can and includes soil and beans to grow plants inside the top area! And what children grow is magical-it’s a plant with a message! The beans have words on them that appear in the greenery when the plant sprouts and grows tall along the trellis! June 30, 2017 – BELOIT, Wis. – Ready, Set, Race! PlayMonster LLC is excited to introduce Ultra Dash^TM, the newest addition to its Active Play game line! With cool sound effects and flashing bright lights, it’s a fun way to get kids, as well as adults, up and moving! Ultra Dash could also be exactly what the doctor ordered for a great family activity during our society’s much needed screen-free time. When played, Ultra Dash can provide fabulous fun and exercise for everyone!

 

Ultra Dash provides a thrilling rush of excitement as kids race to match the color of the flashing light on their tagger to the color of the targets! Each time kids play, it’s a different game because the order of color flashes randomizes, plus kids can rearrange their target course however they want.

 

Ultra Dash has three game modes: Beat the Clock is a race to hit all five targets and see which player is fastest; Target Tally allows players to choose their time and then race to see how many targets they can hit in that time; and Relay Race is team vs. team, with each player racing to hit five targets and then passing their tagger to the next player. The first two games can be played as single player, with kids trying to beat their own time or target count.
