PLAYMONSTER TEAMS UP WITH JEFF FOXWORTHY FOR INSANELY HUMOROUS NEW PARTY GAME

Relative Insanity Features Comedian Jeff Foxworthy’s Relatable Humor About Crazy Family Members and Unpredictable Situations

BELOIT, Wis. (March 1, 2018) – PlayMonster is thrilled to partner with Jeff Foxworthy and produce his comical new game Relative Insanity^TM.

The laugh-out-loud party game uses bits of Foxworthy material that mix and match to create wacky situations that families and friends will love! Everyone has a crazy friend or family member (or two or three…) and can totally relate to this game’s hilarious situations and humor!

“There are a few certainties in life. One of them is everybody’s relatives are crazy,” Foxworthy said. “You can let them make you nuts too, or you can learn to just laugh about it. I prefer laughter every time!”

In Relative Insanity, one player will read a set-up card, such as “While walking past my sister’s bedroom, I heard her say…” and the other players will decide which of their punch-line cards they want to play. So maybe you’d end up with these statements:

1.    Sometimes I think orphans are so lucky

2.    Hell yeah they’re real!

3.    It’s not my fault! It just popped out!

4.    I think there was weed in the brownies!

5.    Give him a break, he just got out of jail

6.    Take a picture of that and send it to me

 

The reader then gets to choose their favorite punch line, and the owner of that card gets a point!

Inspired by the insanity of his own family and friends, Foxworthy created the game with laughter in mind. When he played it during a Thanksgiving gathering, Foxworthy said, “The results were beyond anything I could have hoped for.  We laughed until we cried and a few people might have even peed… just a little bit. Enjoy!”

Sometimes the punch lines you’re holding don’t really seem to match up, but that could make them even better…or insane! Relative Insanity includes 100 set-up situation cards and 400 punch-line response cards, so game play is never the same! For 4 to 12 players, ages 14+. PlayMonster will be bringing the game to retail for a suggested price of $19.99.

He is the largest selling comedy-recording artist in history, a multiple Grammy Award nominee and best-selling author of 11 books. UTTER NONSENSE!

Leading game and toy company seizes hot laugh-out-loud party game

 

February 17, 2018 – BELOIT, Wis. –PlayMonster LLC is adding to its award-winning game portfolio with the acquisition of Utter Nonsense!®, The Hilarious Accent Game. Originally launched on Kickstarter before hitting  Target shelves, the laugh-out-loud game that combines silly accents or voices with even sillier phrases is one of the most talked about party games today, and is now available in two editions, Utter Nonsense: Family Edition and Utter Nonsense: Naughty Edition for players 17 and up.

In Utter Nonsense!, players take turns assuming “Nonsense Judge” duties in each round, dealing seven Phrase Cards to each player and revealing an Accent Card from the top of the deck. Each player chooses a Phrase Card in their hand that works best with the featured Accent Card for the zaniest combination and reads it aloud. The Nonsense Judge determines whose “performance” was the funniest to take the win. Once a player wins five rounds, he or she wins the game.

The Accent Cards aren’t what you might expect, and include Pirate, Whisper, Side Mouth Talker, News Anchor, Robot and more! Imagine hearing, “Either Fido isn’t housebroken or we need to have a talk with grandpa,” in an over-the-top stuffy nose voice!

Each edition includes 50 Accent Cards and 450 Phrase Cards, with a suggested retail price of $24.99.

February 15, 2018 – BELOIT, Wis. –PlayMonster LLC announced today it has acquired the worldwide license for Walkie Chalk®, the innovative sidewalk chalk holder that empowers kids and adults to “Stand Up & Draw!”®

Walkie Chalk is an easy-to-assemble, three-piece writing wand that provides a totally new experience with sidewalk chalk for kids and adults of all ages. The patented design, made with child-safe materials, holds any standard-sized chalk, round or square, allowing chalk artists to let their creativity shine by being able to move around while they draw. Walkie Chalk helps outdoor imagination flow from a different perspective while also saving parents and grandparents sore knees and backs.

BELOIT, Wis. (November 7, 2017) – PlayMonster is excited to once again participate in the fun and festive ChiTAG Fair at Navy Pier on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 – 19, 2017! The weekend’s activities include the Young Inventor Challenge and the PlayMonster’s booth featuring four inventors of PlayMonster games and toys for public “meet-and-greets” as well as multiple exciting play experiences for kids and families.

The Young Inventor Challenge takes place on Saturday (November 18) at Navy Pier in Chicago, where kids ages 6 – 18 will set up and display their previously-submitted toy and game inventions and ideas to the general public, media and industry professionals, hoping to win prizes in categories such as Most Marketable Concept, Most Creative Concept and Best Pitch Video or Commercial. PlayMonster is a sponsor of this event because it fosters imagination and innovation, inspiring children to explore and follow through on their ideas. Children also receive feedback from industry professionals, helping them to become better inventors and gearing them toward success!

All weekend long, PlayMonster’s fair booth will feature tons of fun for families! Kids can stop by to try out the new Super Spinner disc swing that will be set up and ready for play! In another area of the booth, numerous Automoblox wood cars will be available for kids to mix and match to create custom vehicles, and then race them down the giant wood ramp. Also set up will be an awesome Ultra Dash game obstacle race course! Kids can run and play, and try to beat their best time at hitting the targets, or race friends and siblings! PlayMonster will also have several of their products for sale at a special show discount price for anyone looking to shop.

When kids aren’t playing at PlayMonster’s booth, they can meet and talk with actual game and toy inventors. A schedule will be posted at the booth letting consumers know when they can stop by to see Marbleocity inventor Adam Hocherman, Super Spinner inventor Greg Cordray, Dictitious inventors Johanna Sherman and Lori Christopher, and Ultra Dash inventor Dan Klitsner.

TOTY 2018 Tops Off an Award-Winning Year,
as Wisconsin Toy Company Garners Dozens of Accolades

  

BELOIT, Wis. (November 6, 2017) – For the first time in company history, PlayMonster has been named a finalist for six Toy of The Year (TOTY) 2018 Awards, the industry’s highest achievement and one of its most revered accolades. The company garnered nominations across six different categories: Playset of the Year for My Fairy Garden Magical Cottage, Game of the Year for Ultra Dash, Doll of the Year for Wonder Crew, Specialty Toy of the Year for Mirari Juballees, Infant/Toddler Toy of the Year for Mirari Shellby, and Vehicle of the Year for Automoblox SC1 Chaos and HR5 Scorch 2-Pack.

The six finalist nominations follow last year’s first-ever win for PlayMonster’s Yeti in My Spaghetti® for Game of the Year. In previous years, the company has earned at least one TOTY finalist distinction per year, so this year’s six is causing big excitement. PlayMonster was founded as Patch Products in 1985, and changed its name in 2016 to reflect the company’s continued commitment to provide play for all ages.

The TOTY Awards are often referred to as the “Oscars” of the toy industry, and finalists were announced last week from a field of more than 600 nominations. Finalists were determined by elite members of the toy industry, including retail buyers, inventors/designers, academics, journalists, trade media spokespeople and bloggers. Stinky Pig® Brings New Level of Fun with the Addition of
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ “Belching Mikey”

 Nickelodeon’s Fun-loving Hero in a Half-Shell, Michelangelo, is First Licensed Character to Join PlayMonster’s Popular Kids Game Brand

October 4, 2017 – BELOIT, Wis. – A new personality joins PlayMonster LLC‘s popular “farting” Stinky Pig® family: Belching Mikey. The energetic ninja from Nickelodeon’s hit series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is the first licensed character to add new personality to the brand. 

Like the original Stinky Pig® game, Belching Mikey plays in fun, fast hot potato fashion, with a slightly different kind of gas!

To play, press Mikey’s stomach to hear a catchy tune, and then roll the die to see which way to pass him. Do it fast… pass him left, pass him right, roll again… just hurry before he belches loud and proud! The player holding him when he does takes a token and the game play continues at a quick pace and the player with the fewest tokens in the end wins.
