PLAYMONSTER LLC AND BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP TO INSPIRE MODULAR DESIGN LEARNING THROUGH POPULAR SNAP SHIPS TOY!

PlayMonster’s Snap Ships Inspires a Custom Program for Cub Scouts and Interactive Modular Design Experiences at Select Scout Camps

BELOIT, Wisc. and IRVING, Texas (March 29, 2021) — PlayMonster LLC and the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) are excited to announce a year-long promotional partnership for Snap Ships—one of the hottest construction toys this year.

The collaboration will introduce a custom “Modular Design & Build” Preview Adventure that children in Cub Scouts can earn to learn the benefits of modular design along with experiencing modular building with and without instructions using Snap Ships. Scouts will be encouraged to share what they learned with fellow Cub Scouts, friends and family.

“From Pinewood Derby races and now Snap Ship building, Cub Scouting delivers skill-building lessons to children through interactive experiences that spark their interest and imagination,” said Anthony Berger, national director of Cub Scouting for the Boy Scouts of America. “We are so delighted to partner with PlayMonster and Snap Ships to create this hands-on opportunity to engage children in an exciting new activity.”

In addition to the custom “Modular Design & Build” Preview Adventure for Cub Scouts, the partnership will encourage further exploration of modular design by providing 10,000 Snap Ships samples to kids attending Day Camps and Summer Camps[1] to introduce them to the popular #BuildtoBattle Snap Ships experience.

“We are incredibly excited for the opportunity to introduce thousands of Cub Scouts to the Snap Ships experience,” said Scott Flynn, VP Sales and Marketing, PlayMonster. “The Boy Scouts of America has a long history in inspiring learning through fun experiences and it’s an absolute honor to have a custom Snap Ships program that builds on that tradition for today’s Cub Scouts.”

Snap Ships is a versatile building system for creating multiple crafts with action play, and all sets and pieces are interchangeable, so kids can build however they want. It’s built for longevity with a broad universe with narrative-driven repeat builds. Welcome to the future…where humanity is under constant attack from a brutal alien threat. The Komplex spreads through the galaxy and grows stronger with each species they defeat and assimilate. To fight them, humanity relies on an elite team, the Forge, who pilots their own armada of spacecraft known as Snap Ships. Now YOU can Build to Battle! The story of Snap Ships can also be enjoyed through the animated series available on YouTube. The series expands the appeal of Snap Ships and supports the play pattern. Snap Ships is geared toward children ages 8 and up but can be enjoyed by nearly anyone.
